My Workaway Experience

I got the chance to do Workaway with a wonderful family in Casuzze, Sicily. I spoke English 24/7 in exchange for accommodation & to experience their culture.

Casuzze is located near Marina di Ragusa. I LOVED Marina di Ragusa. It had the nicest walking/running path along the coastline. It's lively all the time. There's biking, roller blading and many shops along the way. The marina is nice to check out all of the boats. And the sunsets took my breathe away on my evening walks every night.

Day to Day Schedule

Everyday, the girls and I woke up, ate breakfast and headed to the beach (which was less than a 5 minute walk). We would return after a few hours, eat pasta for lunch and then rest. Then we would bake something together, play cards, read, go to the beach again and/or eat gelato. For dinner, my host family always cooked and it was DELICIOUS. During the evening, I usually went on a walk before or after dinner.

I left here with a heavy heart - this family was so wonderful & generous. They became like my own family here in Italy and I still keep in contact with them today. ♡ ILY Paola + Eliana (and Stella) ♡ Miss you guys! Soooooo much!!!
